Not all Women have a Low Breast Milk Supply

My mom said the she never breastfed me. I was always fed milk formula in a bottle. She said that she had Low Breast Milk Supply. Is that even possible? I read that a new mom who questions if she is producing enough milk is quite normal. These new moms then hurriedly look for a pump and bottle feed their babies. Feeding a baby by using a pump may not be as effective as having the baby latch on you and my cause mastitis. Fortunately, according the experts, cases where lack of milk glands or the glands that produce milk are rare. Statistics are around only two to five percent. These mothers think that they are not supplying enough milk because of different reasons. Some fear this because of the breast augmentation that had. Others think that they have a low supply when they lose the feeling of fullness and if breasts are not sore anymore. And others think about this because not enough milk comes out of the body. These feelings are actually just a sign that the body of then mother has already adjusted to the baby’s drinking.A low breast milk supply may be caused not knowing how to have your child latch on to you. Or sometimes, it may be caused by not feeding your baby as often as possible, so nothing triggers milk production. Some birth control pills can also lessen the milk supply. Knowing all these facts, I think my mom just panicked and stopped breastfeeding. If you want to really check and get tips on how to solve this problem, I really suggest for you not to panic and just ask your OB-GYN on how to give your baby enough milk.
