Buying a 4X4 in Seattle, WA

As an avid outdoorist, I wanted a vehicle with 4-wheel drive to make it through the rain-sodden dirt roads I travel to go hiking and camping outside of Seattle.

I initially hunted through the classifieds to buy a vehicle from a private seller.  Unfortunately, my cash on hand was not very high, and most of the vehicles in my price range for cash purchase were pretty beat-up from hard use.

As an alternate route, I found a Seattle car loan online, which I was able to use at a local SEATAC dealership that offered an array of certified pre-owned 4X4 SUVs — the kind that wouldn’t leave me stranded in the woods. Ultimately I opted for a Toyota 4Runner, and I couldn’t have been happier.  This thing is just plain tough.
